Thanks for taking a break with me. I’m envisioning a space between our metaphorical cubicles where we can venture out and take a brief hiatus from whatever we’re doing and share a laugh. Or a pet peeve. Find out what each other is reading or watching or listening to and why. Maybe even throw a little shade on our inept boss (which in my case is me!).
Whatever you’ve come here for, I hope reading will inspire you, amuse you and make you think. And motivate you to continue your good work.
Right now, I’m in between novels. I launched my debut THE FLOWER SISTERS in April of 2024 and yesterday, I just turned in the final edits for THE MOONSHINE WOMEN, coming this fall from Kensington. It has been an exhilarating and, at times, exhausting ride. The best part has been making wonderful new friends in readers and booksellers and librarians — and reconnecting with old friends everywhere. Many of you have been kind enough to express your wish to be kept in the loop about what I’m up to; what is next.
So… this is it! A monthly check-in to share notes on what is keeping us going these days in-between projects, deadlines, obligations and all the unexpected things life throws our way. The first one is on its way to your mailbox soon. It’s called a newsletter — but I’m hoping it’s more the beginning of a good conversation, the kind that surprises, pleases and energizes you.
